Day 3 started out with a hike up Israel Canyon. We met at the top of Stillwater and had an inspirational message from President Edwards. Then, we started off on the path. We walked for about 2 miles up and down a rocky path. When we came to the end there was a hillside with our "We Believe" and American flags. We listened to a great speaker about a time where he was in an airplane accident and how his faith and belief brought him through. Then we took some time to write down a sin or a habit that we wanted to change to represent our weapons of war. We talked about Captain Moroni and dug a hole, then reverently passed by and dropped in our "weapons of war" to be buried. Then we hiked back down . . . at the end we knew that we could do hard things. We were hot and tired, but we did it!

One of the great things we also did on the hillside was to sing, "As Sisters in Zion" and "Armies of Helaman" with the young men and young women together. It was awesome and had a lot of power!

After the hike, we had time to clean up and rest at home. We came back to the church for a potato bar dinner and delicious mint brownies. The highlight of the conference was the testimony meeting that night. It was so powerful to hear the youth testify of what they believe. There was a constant flow of youth eager to bear testimony with no less than 10 youth on the stand at a time. We are believers!!!
