Beehive Conference - 2011
At the Oquirrh Mountain Temple - Sister Clark, Paytene, Juliana, Sam, Maddie, Jessica and Sister Zirker
While the 14 to 18 year olds were at Youth Conference, our beautiful Beehives got to enjoy their own special Beehive Conference on Saturday, June 11th. They started bright and early at Sister Zirker's with a morningside where Sister Zirker shared her conversion story and testimony. Next they had a craft activity with pillow case art. We got to see some of the pillow cases at Girls Camp and they were awesome! Then it was lots of service around the neighborhood. Our playground equipment has never looked better . . . thanks girls! And then it was a break with water games and lunch.
The afternoon continued with a talk by Sister Jones about Personal Progress and then it was time to head to the temple. The Beehives had previously made journals that they were able to bring to the temple for some personal journal writing time. The baptisms were done at the Oquirrh Mountain temple and each young woman was able to do about five names. What an important ordinance to be able to be a part of.
The evening continued with a dinner of pizza and salad, root beer floats and movies . . . so fun! Thanks to Sister Zirker and Sister Sorenson for all of their work planning and executing this event. Thanks also to our incredible Beehives. We are proud of you and the fantastic young women that you are!
This is awesome - I LOVE that they got their own conference! :)
