Movie Night

After our successful fundraiser for youth camps that we coordinated last Saturday, we felt like we deserved a night to chill out and have fun. Brother and Sister Hein hosted us at their home on Tuesday for our weekly activity. The Beehive class was in charge and treated us to yummy banana boats and watching a Brian Regan comedy DVD. We had a great time together.

We had an awesome turnout . . . as you can tell by the shoes.

Priest and Laurel April Dinner

The Laurels were in charge of dinner for the combined group of our Priests and Laurels. We had fun making individual pizzas.

Keeley, Angel and Borja

Travis Rosier made a Chicago-style barbecue chicken pizza and it was fun to have Brother Gabe Toki join us as a new young men's leader.

Then we were on to a Boardgame Triathalon. Our three team events were (1) Break the Ice; (2) Perfection; and (3) Catch Phrase. Somehow the boys ended up on one team and the girls and leaders on another. The girls won the first event, the boys killed in Perfection and then it was a good time figuring out the words in Catch Phrase, which the girls ultimately won.

Westlake High Play

Westlake High put on the play, Damn Yankees, this spring. Our own Alaynah was cast as Sister Miller, who was absolutely hilarious! We think Alaynah has found her calling in acting and especially character acting.
Here is Alaynah with her grandmother (isn't Alaynah's hat fabulous), who sat front and center at each of the performances (there were six!). She traveled from Grantsville each night to show support for Alaynah.

Also, our own Patch Crowe did a fantastic job as a leading man and Bailey Loveless from the Lake Mountain 2nd Ward was the temptress, Lola. We also saw Kelsie Barnes from Lake Mountain in the play as well.

Beauty and the Beast

Our very own Paytene Pivonka was in the play Beauty and the Beast at Lakeview Charter. Sister Clark tracked her down before the performance and took a picture of her in her costume!
